We’ve developed our plant-based Protein Shakes using two types of protein: hemp and pea. Most animal protein sources are complete proteins so using a combination of pea and hemp is ideal as a plant-based alternative. Pea protein has more protein per gram than hemp and has a higher protein digestibility, which means that it’s closer to the being a complete protein, but hemp protein is higher in amino acids that pea protein lacks, and also contains other nutrients such as magnesium, iron, and fibre. That’s the food science bit!
